How much of your current situation is truly set in stone? What do you believe about yourself and your ability to make changes? What have others told you that you have accepted as fact?
Every day we face challenges with work issues, finances, our health, or from unsupportive family and friends. Or perhaps it’s our internal beliefs of inadequacy, lack of confidence, low self-esteem, or our procrastination habits that constantly challenge us and feel like permanent fixtures in our lives. Whatever challenge we face, it can often feel like real change is just not possible. We resign ourselves to accepting this is ‘just how it is/I am’.
I want to share with you someone who inspires me and whose story I turn to when I need to find the inspiration and encouragement to get up and keep moving forward. I believe that you always have a choice to think or act differently, no matter the situation, and that with enough belief in yourself you can accomplish anything.
“I fell many times. But I got back up. Never underestimate what you can accomplish when you believe in yourself.”
Arthur Boorman
A disabled army veteran paratrooper, for 15 years Arthur was told by the doctors he would never walk unassisted again. Overweight, in poor health, and buried in depression, Arthur made the decision to change and never look back. With nothing more than a yoga mat, some workout DVDs, and the belief of one man, through sheer determination, grit, and hard work Arthur completely transformed his body and his life.
If you are in need of inspiration, watch Arthur’s story. It serves as a reminder of the power of the human spirit and the ability we all have deep down to do what is necessary and create massive change, IF we commit to it and never give up. Arthur’s story has been viewed over 17 million times. You won’t believe how far he came in just a few short months – you need to see it to believe it.
